After nine months of very hard work, the 14 finalists' films premiered at the 14 Islands Film Challenge Awards Night on the 15th of March 2010. Attended by representatives of all the sponsors (NFTS, Cannon and The Bahamas Tourist Office UK in association with British Airways) and the agencies involved in creating and running the Film Challenge.
on-IDLE are delighted to have developed the website and content management system that could support the competition through its main phases of announcement, call for entries, semi-finalist videos, judging and finalist videos.
A big thank you to Brik Digital for the design, Fox Kalomaski for the concept and client management, and of course, our friends at the Bahamas Tourist Office UK for letting us loose and gaining exceptional video content.

Commissioned by Swisscard AECS AG
Concept by Der Navigator, a Swiss-based Dailogue Marketing Agency
Working closely with Der Navigator and an SEO specialist, on-IDLE designed and developed a microsite and Open Source content management system to support a new marketing campaign running through March 2010 for American Express credit cards in Switzerland.
Flash video shows 8 characters that represents the American Express 'private cards' portfolio. The user is encouraged to select the charcter most like them which brings up the relevant detail such as related advantages, application and related links. The main driver of the microsite is to push new membership as well as raising awareness of the different Amex card types that are available.
on-IDLE also programmed a flash intro to the microsite combining music and images to set the tone and communicate the key campaign messages.
The 'Choose Your Card' Campaign microsite achieved Swiss press coverage on Persoenlich.com
The video and website execution is a good showcase of what can be achieved - take a look here at www.americanexpress.ch/kartenwahl/

Five years after the original Videal corporate identity design and website build, it was time to update the not only the look-and-feel of the website, but to up the supporting technology in line with what is now possible with online video and the growth in the highspeed imaging market.
Navigation is simple through beautiful JavaScript roll-over menus and core product offerings are highlighted through a new Product Finder. The interactivity required for showcasing multiple videos within a single window necessitated the programming of a custom Flash video player, best viewed in the new Top Clips high quality video collection. Iconography and characters were re-drawn for a fresh appeal, providing visual shortcuts for the website visitor
All site content, including navigation and video players is managed in-house by Videal through a new state-of-the-art bilingual (German and English) Open Source content management system.
This world-renowned Swiss company, specialises in the set-up, installation and monitoring of high speed imaging and industrial monitoring camera systems. on-IDLE designed and developed the new corporate identity, signage, corporate literature, and bilingual website.

The original Playne Design holding page website developed by on-IDLE 3 years ago has finally been replaced with a brand new website and content management system (CMS).
For the new website launch, Playne had all their work professionally photographed which can now be browsed in depth through an innovative "image scroller". The image scroller is used as a navigation vehicle throughout the site, as well as providing strong visuals and motion. Interestingly, the image scroller is programmed in Ajax and not in Adobe Flash, meaning end-users do not need any plug-ins or players to view the site and work. Playne are able to control the speed and number of pieces of work within the image scroller directly through the CMS.
Playne designed the website concept from where on-IDLE worked closely with the project team to build and deliver a technically challenging site that not only looks beautiful, but works in all browser versions, is fully search engine optimised and wholly accessible.

Commissioned by New West End Company
Launched early in 2009, the West End VIP website offers promotions, discounts and competitions to members of the West End VIP club. The original website needed users to register and become members prior to being able to see what offers were available severely impacting the number of member sign-ups, and the supporting CMS (content management system) was found cumbersome to use by the client.
on-IDLE reviewed the site architecture and working with the original layout designs, rebuilt the website to improve usability, include social media bookmarks and to facilitate browsing and encourage member sign-ups. Traffic to the site and new membership sign-ups have increased by over 50% within the first week of the relaunch.
A completely new CMS was introduced, customised to client's day-to-day site management as well as including an email module where client can create and send email news to members as well as track the metrics thereof.
The membership card itself is scheduled for launch in November 2009. If you regularly shop, go out, eat or stay in London's West End, becoming a member of the West End VIP club definitely has its advantages - sign-up today.
